<lj:music>Paramore - That's What You Get</lj:music>

In English 202 today, we were just reviewing the Rationalist movement and discussing the contrasting theologies of morality aquisition of children. My professor asked me on the spot what I believed in, and feeling obligated I said, "I think that a child gains morality from their environment." She catagorized me as a Rousseau thinker, and for a brief moment I was offended. It's not even that I agree or disagree with Rousseau, it's the fact that people are lumped into a very specific group based on a vague similarity. I got over it in about five seconds, naturally, but nothing is more irritating than being deindividualized. Rousseau can bite me.
Except not really, since he's dead now, and then i'd turn into a zombie or something.

I'm seriously busy all the time. This blows, especially since I have to prolong Spore another day. Tomorrow after my chemistry test I get to go learn to make duct tape purses and et cetera so that I can sell them at school for fundraising. They're actually really cute, we make them in pretty much any color you can think of. It's also really high quality tape. Stylin'.

Since a friend's wedding is coming up, I went out and bought a dress to wear since I have virtually no dressy clothes. I just usually run out and get some when the occasion arrises. It is a very pretty purple dress, though i'm wondering how appropriete it is for a wedding. It's not skimpy at all, it just has a lot of bare back and shoulders even though there are straps.

Bonne nuit.

Spore is AWESOME.

My creature? Not so much. I meant to make some kind of diabolical race that sought to kill and conquer everything it came across (named JELLYBEAN); now they're just a bunch of vegetarian pacifistic bird things? How did that happen? Pacifistic vegetarians are kind of cuter? Bull SHIT. <lj:music>Flyleaf - I'm So Sick</lj:music>

Everything is peachy now. Not that anything was wrong in the first place, the interwebs was just getting on my nerves and I had to restrict myself by doing nothing but coming on for the occasional forum browse and webcomics. Oh how I love those web comics.

Hurricane Gustav barely hit us, despite the town freaking out and buying out all of the doomsday supplies. Ha ha! Plus, I'm out of school until Thursday. I should probably get on that...heaping pile of work I have to do. I'm also contemplating applying for a tutoring position in the learning center where I go, I have passed the basic requirements for it and it's wonderful pay for working around my class schedule. Money is good, right? I guess i'm just a little scared.

The more I play Rock Band, the more I want it. I think i'll buy Rock Band 2 when it comes out soon. Hell yes. That and Spore...and House season 4...The Big Bang Theory season 1 (It's finally out on Thursday!!). That is such a funny show. I'm not usually into television, but House and The Big Bang Theory make me giggle a lot.

Seth is in art classes, which makes me insanely jealous because I adore art. Pretty much all of his classes are that, actually. I'm stealing his art supplies after he's finished with them. He'll never get them back. <3

I think i'll study my drivers manual and get my beginner's permit. Driving is so overrated, but i'm starting to think I really should begin to. Besides, my parents hinted at helping me get a car if I acquire said liscense. Study time!

It's only 8:37 and i'm already forcing myself to stay awake. Oh my goodness.

Today was pretty freaking sweet though. Not only did I procrastinate my school work (again), I went to the lake with Seth, his sister and their dad. If it wasn't painfully obvious by now, I live with my boyfriend and his dad. Anyway, so we launched the newly fixed up motorboat (but terribly old motor, seriously, it's a '79). Since we rock so much, the motor overheated and we had to call it quits after about an hour. It was so fun while it lasted though, we road off of an inflatable raft while Seth's dad drove us around trying to throw us off. Seth kept trying to push me off while he was riding on the raft with me, but he fell off instead! Take that. He had it coming.

A side note, I'm VERY bad at Trivial Pursuit. And hole punches. Punch punch punch.

What's up with Obama's VP choice. Seriously? Biden? One second he's saying Obama isn't qualified, and the next he's giving a speech about he's supposed to be the next Franklin Roosevelt. Oh politics. I actually don't even have a side, so no jumpy preachy crap. I just like to wallow in hypocrisy.

Did you know that eggplants are berries? I'm not kidding. They are. The high school might stop me for not having a hallpass since I still look like I belong there.
:(

I talked Seth into taking me to Office Depot today by making a deal with him that if I found his sunglasses, he would take me there.
Hello. Blogs are dirty, filthy things.

But their existence annoys a beloved to a great extent, which amuses me to no end. Seriously, that's my main source of entertainment. That and wiki-adventures (although I do not edit). I went ahead and purged the earlier entries of this journal, seeming as they were slightly retarded. Well, not so much retarded as they were just annoying. I can't really stand continuing off of old blog entries, it seems so...well, unclean.

I tried to remake another account, but realized that it would be much less hassle to just resurrect this one and rename it by paying five dollars or whatever they want. The fact that live journal forces you to use the "plus account" instead of starting at basic is very silly, but I hear that's sort of old news so i'll stop complaining and take solace in the fact that I never deactivated this account. Oh how I love basic.

Recently i've been trying to do summer vacation projects to make it seem like I haven't been sitting on my butt for two months, one of which is a web comic (or just normal comic that I never show anyone ever). If you actually try to go through all the trouble to not half-ass it, making one page without even inking can take all day. I stopped after two pages, but it was mostly because I did something very silly and drew them with a tablet on Sai painter. That's a whole 'nother story, though. Ugh...

Classes start on Thursday, and I'm so psyched. I can't wait for something to do.
